About Us
About Us
The State Tejano Democrats is the largest Hispanic Democratic organization in Texas, dedicated to advancing the political, social, and economic interests of Hispanic and Latino communities throughout the state. Founded on the belief that representation matters, our organization has worked for decades to ensure that Tejanos have a strong voice within the Democratic Party and at every level of government.
Our history is rooted in the long tradition of Tejano leadership, civic engagement, and public service in Texas. From advocating for voting rights and educational opportunities to supporting policies that strengthen working families, the State Tejano Democrats have remained committed to building political power and expanding opportunities for future generations.
Our Mission
The mission of the State Tejano Democrats is to seek full representation of Hispanics at all levels and in all activities of the Democratic Party. We believe that our communities deserve a seat at every table where decisions are made and that our voices must be heard in shaping the future of Texas.
Our Vision
We envision a Texas where Hispanic and Latino communities are fully represented in elected office, party leadership, government appointments, and public policy decision-making. We strive to build a stronger Democratic Party that reflects the diversity, culture, and contributions of the people it serves.
Through organizing, advocacy, leadership development, and coalition building, the State Tejano Democrats continue to champion the issues that matter most to our communities while empowering the next generation of Tejano leaders.
Tejano & Proud
Our organization celebrates the rich history, culture, and contributions of Tejanos across Texas. We honor the generations of leaders, activists, veterans, educators, workers, and families who have shaped our state and continue to inspire the fight for opportunity, equality, and justice for all.
Together, we are building a stronger Texas—one where every voice is heard, every vote is counted, and every community has the opportunity to thrive.
