Step 8:

File Ethics Reports: Once a chapter files an Appointment of a Campaign Treasurer with the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC), it becomes responsible for filing periodic campaign finance reports that disclose contributions received, expenditures made, loans, and other financial activity. These reports help ensure transparency and compliance with Texas campaign finance laws. Chapters should review the TEC filing schedule regularly and submit all required reports by the applicable deadlines to avoid penalties. Even if a committee has little or no activity, reporting requirements may still apply until the committee is formally dissolved. When is my report due?
