Joseph Ramirez

Chairman of the Coastal Bend Tejano Democrats

Joseph Ramirez was elected chairman of the coastal bend tejano democrats in February 2023 when the chapter was founded. A veteran in democratic politics, activist, and union member, Joseph has been at the forefront of helping transform today's political arena in Texas. Elected as the Chairman of the Nueces county democratic party in 2012, and re-elected in 2014 Chairman Ramirez has fought for candidates all across South Texas. He prides himself in working alongside latinos who have made history in Texas from Congressman Solomon Ortiz, Senator Chuy Hinojosa, Justice Dori Contreras (first latina chief justice 13 COA), Commissioner Adrian Garcia.

Chairman Ramirez worked on the advance team for the Hilllary presidential campaign, Deputy coalitions director for Biden/Harris Texas campaign, and most recently as Deputy Political Director for Beto for Texas.

Cinia Montoya

Cinia Montoya was elected Vice President of Coastal Bend Tejano Democrats in February 2023. Ms. Montoya was elected as SDEC in 2016, has served as a precinct chair and has been a long-life Democrat since her eligibility to vote in 1981. Ms. Montoya has served in various capacities of political campaigns

since 1983 fundraising, block walking, phone banking and volunteering. When Ms. Montoya is not working, helping on a campaign or volunteering on nonprofits serving the coastal bend she enjoys time with her family. Ms. Montoya is currently an insurance agent of 23 years, serving the South Texas Region, focused on health and life.

Secretary

Victoria Rogers

Victoria Rogers was elected secretary of Coastal Bend Tejano Democrats in February 2023. Rogers began her involvement with the Nueces County Democrats by serving as a VDR. In 2016, she co-founded the Island Democrats with her husband Craig Rogers who currently serves as Precinct 40 Chair. Rogers' background includes writing, photography and editing for various publications, Public Relations Specialist for Blue Bell Creameries, Founder and Publisher of Gulfscapes Magazine. Currently, Rogers and her husband live on North Padre Island where she works as a real estate agent for Corpus Christi Realty Group, and is a mother to 4 beautiful DemaCATs.

Treasurer

Becky Moeller

Becky Moeller was elected treasurer of Coastal Bend Tejano Democrats in February 2023, after a long stint of volunteering fundraising / managing GOTV with the Nueces County Democratic Party upon her retirement as President of the Texas AFl-CIO in 2015.

She "vacationed " in Oregon in 2016, volunteering for Hillary Clinton and In Montana for a special Congressional election in 2019. She has served as precinct chair in Nueces and Travis counties, coordinated block walks /phone banks / gotv programs in numerous areas of the State.

Ms. Moeller is the mother of activist Kristie Veit, two activist granddaughters Taylor and Taryn, and is a lifelong Democrat and union member since 1967.
